His once jolly, happy-go-lucky, friendly face now sunken and covered in puss-filled boils. His skeletal body was unrecognizable in the dingy county hospital ward bed.

“I can’t do it,” she sobbed. She stood at a distance near the foot of his bed. Fear and stigma…
