Kerala, I have wavy, frizzy hair but certainly not curly. When my daughter started to say she wanted "straight hair like Mommy's" when she was about 4, I immediately went and got my long hair permed into tight curls. My daughter loved it. I wore it that way for about a year - and by the end of that year, my daughter was more confident in her own hair - and now wears it like a queen!
