Thanks for this. Like you - I have high HDL, low triglycerides, high LDL. Like Carolyne Thompson who replied earlier, I had a LipoA test done. That was high. But I had an arterial plaque CT done and only one artery had a dusting of plaque. All the others were 100% clear. My research showed that statins don't help lower LipoA, and can actually increase LipoA levels-- I'm 60 and according to the doctor, it takes decades for plaque to build up. Decades is a long time...I have no symptoms and no other health issues. So I decided not to take the statins.
